Researchers Find World's Oldest Hippie
Scientists located a weed stash in a remote part of China that is reportedly 2,700 years old. A research paper, published in the Journal of Experimental Botany, detailed the finding and claims it was specifically "cultivated for psychoactive purposes." Buried alongside the 789 grams of herb, that was so well preserved it was still green, was a "blue-eyed Caucasian man," believed to be a "shaman of the Gushi culture." Well, that's just a sophisticated way of saying "hippie" and demonstrates how long the white man's tradition of getting people high really is. |CBC|

The dude was white. He got people high with at least 789 grams of weed. He is from 2,700 years ago, which -- since white people smoke weed today -- is quite a long tradition to be toking. Those are facts, not racist statements. How does this reflect poorly on any race? How does it reflect positively? You are hyper-sensitive to things that have anything to do with race, which you assume must be racism. If you are white, your pissed because...some white dude smoked weed? If your not white your mad because...some white dude smoked weed? What the hell? 2,700 years ago was way before the modern connotations of racism anyway. You people should get a little perspective...

@ Brown Man: what does this even have to do with the brown man's tradition? He doesn't even talk about it, but there is no evidence whether it was a longer or shorter tradition...but WHO CARES? Does the length of weed tradition matter? Do we really think that it started with one race exclusively? It is a damned plant! Everyone smokes it! This dude happend to be white; who cares?
The fact is, this scientific proof shows the tradition of white people because this white dude died with a bunch of weed way back then. It doesn't say anything either way about any other race because they didn't die next to the dude: they weren't there, so we don't know. It doesn't exclude people or show that white people created weed or some such nonsense: it just shows that at least one white dude got high 2,700 years ago! That is it!
I wish that you could see how your hypersensitivity to this sort of thing actually just perpetuates racism, because YOU make this a racist issue when it is clearly NOTHING of the sort. It is the hypersensitivity that makes racism rear its ugly head, even when it is on its way out. Shame on you.

i think its hilarious that not a single comment is about the article. i wanna post every racial slur i know jus to see who cries. btw no way would my stash make it to my grave, first relative to veiw my casket will pocket mibne, i just know it.
