An Interactive Film Tour Through Global Skateboarding

May 1, 2014 | Andy Cush

In 1966, the director Claude Jutra made The Devil’s Toy, a pioneering skateboarding film that was dedicated “to all victims of intolerance.” Yesterday, the National Film Board of Canada, which commissioned the film, debuted The Devil’s Toy Redux, a series of 14 documentaries from directors around the world that reimagine Junta’s classic.

A slick interactive interface lets you toggle through the films as you watch, and also gives access to a wealth of information about each. It’s a lot to take in. Watch the trailer above and see The Devil’s Toy Redux here.
