MTA Can’t Spell “Schermerhorn” Right Either

August 8, 2013 | Andy Cush

Hot on the heels of the news that the MTA had “Roosevelt” spelled incorrectly at the 82nd Street 7 Train stop in Queens, here’s another typo, courtesy of DNAinfo: “Schermerhorn” is spelled “Schermehorn” on one outdoor sign at the Hoyt-Schermerhorn A/C/G stop in Fort Greene. Granted, this one’s a little easier to excuse than “Roosvelt.” Can you tell the difference? Do you know how to pronounce “Schermerhorn?”

One commuter was having none of it. “That’s really stupid, basically,” Hiandelys Abreu said. “If they have it right in the train station, they should know how to spell it right here.”
