Remember the guy who allegedly stole a box of Snickers from a Downtown Brooklyn 7-Eleven, only to be beaten, bitten, and stripped by irate employees before he could get away? Now, that man, David Golson, 30, is suing the store over “emotional distress” as a result of the incident.

Though the 7-Eleven employees were ostensibly only trying to protect merchandise, its hard not to feel sympathy for Golson watching the violence and persistence with which they go after him for his alleged theft (no actual shoplifting is shown in the video). A representative of the convenience store chain called the footage “extremely disturbing” at the time. One of the employees involved was fired and the other two were assigned retraining. Golson was charged for theft and criminal mischief.
