Zoe West, the actress who was arrested last August for participating in artist Andy Golub’s Times Square spectacle is suing the city for infringing on her civil rights. According to the New York State law, public nudity is not lewd if it’s part of a play, performance, exhibition or show. According to her lawyer, she should never have been arrested.

After she was out of custody, West told ANIMAL that it was worth it.

“They were macho and trying to use their power when they first arrested me in front of the press,” she recalled. “But when I got to the station they were pretty decent… especially when they realized they had no RIGHT to arrest me to begin with.”

Here’s her alleged “lewdness” as captured by ANIMAL. Ah, memories.
