The NYPD issued 348,851 “pink slips” in 2011, for offenses ranging from public urination to trespassing to weed possession and oh, look, here’s a new nifty interactive map showing you what ticket was written where.

The Northeast Bronx, for example… Not a good place to light up. Also, there’s an exuberant amount of open containers of alcohol and bike riding on sidewalks in Williamsburg. Those cannot be unrealted. Right? Goddamn kids riding around, spilling booze everywhere. Tsk-tsk-tsk.

This is a lot more cheery than that crime map of murders and rapes.
