The New York Times staffers took time off from making news to make news by staging a conveniently-packaged protest outside of the Gray Lady’s building in Midtown this afternoon. Over 300 staffers walked outside at about 3:40 PM to put pressure on the paper to re-negotiate union contracts over benefits such as wages, healthcare and pensions. The protest lasted no longer than 10 minutes and everyone walked back inside.

Yeah! The best time to renegotiate your contract is when your employers are losing MILLIONS of dollars a year and about to go bankrupt!
Seriously??? These idiotic people need to realize that they are lucky they still have a job. The company is in serious financial trouble and about to go bankrupt. The entire newspaper industry is in major chaos, so they need to get a grip on reality and look for new employers, not try to squeeze money out of a failing company.
