The Brandon Many Ribs, Standing Rock Reservation, North Dakota plastered to the side of the building is part of JR’s ongoing Inside Out project. It’s an internet-hosted, international photo-booth. Let’s agree that it is not an vicious affront to the eyes, but it’s not “absolutely genius” either.
We’ve already agreed that JR’s optimal environment is Third World and war-torn countries and on this comfortable island of Manhattan, it’s non-artsy adsy. We’re sticking to that. So is all this dot-ridden wheatpaste.
