If you were monitoring Twitter or the media at all during Hurricane Sandy, there’s a good chance you’ll remember the photo above, of water pouring down the elevator shaft at the Hoboken PATH station. It spread like wildfire over social media, and the intensity of the image led some people to question whether it wasn’t manipulated. Well it was very much real, and now, the Port Authority has released video footage of the incident, along with more flooding at Exchange Place station at Jersey City. No wonder it’s taking so long to get the trains back to normal.
