Artist Sebastian Errazuriz created these two beautiful t-shirts using “70s dip dying style” after his NYC studio was destroyed during Hurricane Sandy, and 100% of the sales from each will directly benefit storm relief funds, though no specific organizations are mentioned. One design flips Milton Glaser’s classic “I Love New York” logo, adding a a water line, and the other depicts a subway map in which downtown Manhattan is blacked out. According to art space Grey Area, where the shirts are being sold, “This idea occurred to him after seeing the water line marked on the walls of the flooded galleries in New York’s Chelsea art district.” The shirts cost $40, and will also be available at Gray Area’s “Americana” show opening November 6th.
