Welcome to Damian’s Inferno, a new series of interviews conducted by Damian Burnz, a lifelong New Yorker with a rolodex of people who make this world that much more interesting.

Since the early 80s, Jimmy G (formerly known as Jimmy Gestapo) and his world renowned band, Murphy’s Law, has been at the forefront of the New York City hardcore scene. We caught up with the living legend near his old stomping grounds in Astoria. He reminisced about his favorite tour with the Beastie Boys, the time Jam Master Jay stage dived, and Chuck D, whom he described as a “gentleman.”
