Artists Shepard Fairey, Ron English, RISK, and TrustoCorp are putting up work for the London Pleasure Gardens to help promote the 2012 Olympics, prompting the BBC to manufacture a story and ask whether their craft is “inspirational or offensive.” In addition to the legal stuff they were commissioned to do, the quartet also added some unsanctioned, U.S. bravado to a miscellaneous billboard in East London.
