This past weekend, someone fired off a few shots underneath the Flushing Avenue J/M station. As this surveillance tape shows, about 20 people ran into the corner deli for cover. Thankfully, no one was shot, but is there some innate self-preservation that inhabits all Bushwick residents to run to the nearest bodega when shots are fired? I guss it is similar to when white suburban kids are told by their parents to go to the large open area in the mall if they get separated. Kind of.
