When It Comes To Busting Pot Farms, Snitches Still the Best Tool

The gadget freaks over at Gizmodo point out their favorite gear being employed by the Feds to fight the War on Drugs from Business Week's article: In This War, Technology is Key. It seems the cops must spends millions on technology in order to keep up with their drug dealing counterparts. The Gizmodos favorite is the Vapor Tracer, " a device... which finds little bags of cocaine in your ass by detecting the mass-to-charge ratio of ions". Also shown is the 6.5 million dollar Predator drone, a crystal meth lab, and a portable substance id lab. However, the most distressing tidbit from the article, which we also find the most ironic, is the only low tech tool in the bunch that also happens to be the most effective when it comes to busting indoor pot farms: snitches. It just goes to show that no matter how many millions are spent on fancy gadgetry and cutting edge technology, in the end it's the good ol' fashioned 'rats' that ruin all the fun and spoil those "sweet, sweet growrooms."
